LGA is a large hub commercial airport encompassing some 680 acres in the New York City Borough of Queens. To meet current and projected demand with an optimal level of service, enhance efficiency of operations, and improve terminal amenities, an unprecedented replacement project has been developed to totally reconfigure the existing CTB in planned increments while maintaining operations with an adequate level of service throughout the duration of construction. Working along with HOK, and WSP/USA, our team has been commissioned to perform detailed design for the phased demolition of the east and west portions of the existing CTB, and piers “C” and “D”,  as well as temporary internal modifications to maintain operations during de-construction.
